Draught at the brewery
Dark color, near black, with small head. A straight Stout, well balanced, blending roasted malts and some dark chocolate, avoiding the ashes trap; supposedly a milk stout, but the lactose is not evident.
Very good.

On Tap. Pours a clear dark brown with light head. Aromas of coffee, blackberries and roasted barley. Flavors of watery black coffee with an acidic fruitiness.

Draft - Roasty chocolate notes. Cleanish maroon with a decent light brown head. Nice chocolate with a roasty bitterness. I don’t get the milk at all, just roasty bitterness.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a dark brown with an amber tinge and a small tan head. Nose brings out notes of lactose and dry cocoa. Flavour is quite dry, with bitter dry cocoa powder and a little chalkiness. Less sweet than most milk stouts. Thin palate, with not a whole lot going on. Pretty weak, but inoffensive.
