500 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slight hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, raspberry, white wine, vanilla, toasted oak, hay, leather, musty funk, pepper, honey, bread, light white vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, raspberry, white wine, vanilla, toasted oak, hay, leather, musty funk, pepper, honey, bread, light white vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, raspberry, white wine, vanilla, toasted oak, hay, leather, musty funk, pepper, honey, bread, light vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from acidic/tannic notes as well. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/acidic, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic wine barrel aged Brett saison! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV; with the balanced acidic/tannic flavors. Quite malty for a sour, but never overly sweet. A really amazing offering.

Shared 500ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-gold color. Tart citrus and oak aroma. I don’t know if there is a scale for measuring sour taste, but this beer hits it in just the right spot. I didn’t pick up dominance of wine flavor like some others raters. Just a hint of oak and wine on the finish. We really enjoyed this beer.

Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma is lightly acidic with some nice citrus and tropical fruit notes. Hints of sour cherries as well. Some oak and red wine notes. Light grain notes and hints of stone fruit. Pours a very clear gold with a medium large, fairly thick, white head with average retention. Medium light lacing and medium length legs. Flavor has a medium light shortness with some sweetness to it as well. Lots of cherry character with some lighter stone fruit and tropical fruit. Light citrus. Low bitterness. Hint of alcohol spice. Light oak and red wine tannins. Some red apple as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but noticeable alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice beer and better than I was expecting. Great fruit notes with a light sourness. I wish it was lower ABV though.

Draft - Funky lemon and tartness with some soap. Hazy gold with a decent beige head. Citric acid, stone fruit, light funk and a clean finish. Interesting and flavourful with a creamy nice palate.
