The first beer to ever be brewed in Borgorose is still the most loved and appreciated. Inspired by traditional British India Pale Ales it has intense aromas given by American aromatic hops. Amber in color, it has a medium body, the aromas are clearly of citrus fruits and peppery. Carbonation is slightly low as traditional to its style. The mouthfeel leads to a persistent and intense bitterness.

355 ml. bottle sampled @ Gollem. Dark amber, very stable, one & a half or so finger off-white head. Nose is full grain bread mixed with malt, tad malt sweetish with pine resin & bitter grapefruit peel,… Taste is full grain, some sweetish caramel malt mixed dried mandarin & grapefruit peel + some pine resin, orange,… Med. malty body. Pleasant, not overly expressive & a bit too malt forward for what is is but drinks nicely still. Easy & enjoyable beer.

Clear medium amber colour, small but stable frothy beige head, mostly lasting, good lacing. Fruity aroma, orange, apricot, peach, pine, also caramel, nuts. Taste medium sweet and bitter, fruity, malty. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste medium bitter, slightly fruity sweetness, excellent IPA, well-balanced and refreshing.

A dark orange beer with a weak and blond head. Balanced aroma. Mangos, quite strong fructose but that’s not too much, some citrusfruits and pine. Taste has low tropical fruitness, some citrusfruits and pine needles. The bitterness is quite mild but enough, unique taste of bitterness in the end, sharp. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Basic good beer, the taste could be more intensive. Easy to enjoy.
