Anno 2022 is a strong, golden ale brewed with Okanagan pears and Indian coriander. The beer is bottle conditioned with Brettanomyces claussenii, a strain of wild yeast that adds funky, fruity flavours and slowly develops over time in the bottle, preserving freshness and adding layers of complexity as the beer ages.

Ingredients: Malted barley, wheat, sugar, spices, pears, hops, yeast, water

Bottle pour at Weathered, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet cereal grainy notes and rustic saison yeast. Flavour is similar, with rustic saison yeast, cereal notes and gentle sweetness. Not particularly complex. Pretty meh.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond colour colour with creamy head. Nice aroma, elegant Belgian yeast. Moderately sweer, very smooth, strong yeast spices, it would be better if the profile didn't lean so much towards the fennel and aniseed.
Good, overall.

Smells like meaty pepperoni to me, not sure why that is and I double checked - no one was eating a pizza nearby. Has good foggy yellow body and modest foam. Flavour is chunky citrusy yeast, in that Dageraad way executed properly but missing a bit of character. Mouthfeel is full and smooth. This is decent, alcohol is well hidden, but simple and straight ahead.

Very nice foam, creamy and pretty solid, semi-clear body. Big blonde Belgian yeast aroma with heavy fermented grains, great for the style. Flavour is nice sweet grains backed by heavy yeast. Pretty good Belgian blonde ale.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond colour. Light yeast aroma. Soft mouthfeel, with soft carbonation and light residual sweetness; some banana esters masking any said pear; no specific sign of wild yeast, instead there is a strong vegetable footprint that becomes even more evident as it warms up, as well as the alcohol is noticeable. Traces of star anise, soapy.
It's an ok beer. Aiming high but not quite reaching there.

Anno 2018, December 2018. Cloudy and relatively pale. Thin head. Pale malt and light phenols on the nose. The pear comes out quite a bit on the aroma. It's sweet, though, creamy and a touch estery. No brett character yet, at all. So it's ok, but fresh it's not as good as last year. 4-7-7-4-14 = 3.6 Anno 2017, December 2017: Draught @ Dageraad. Slight haze, decent head, blonde colour. Aroma is a touch sticky/ plasticy, with light pear. Brett not doing much yet. Dryish, dusty yeast note. Lots of pale malt, delicate spice, touch of alcohol, and earthy hop. This has good complexity...but I’m glad I have a bottle because that brett has done nothing yet and I’m going to want to crack this 6-12 months from now.

On tap. Pours a cloudy amber with light head. Aromas of pears, applesauce and Belgian yeast. Flavors follow same with more fried banana and Bretty yeast plus wheaty malts. Ok

On tap at Dageraad, pours a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma brings out lots of spicy Belgian yeast, some nice fruity esters and a light floral character. Flavour is wonderfully dry and spicy, bringing out that spicy Belgian yeast upfront, backed with a bit of dough and light fruity esters. Spicy and yeasty in the best of ways. Excellent.
