Draft - Odd off notes on the nose. Brown with a small beige head. A light tartness and no real flavors or complexity.

On tap at Toronado Seattle, pours a deep dark amber-tinged dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of buttered popcorn, with some toasted nuts. Flavour reveals notes of slightly sour buttered popcorn, with no residual sweetness. Interesting how prominent the buttered popcorn is. Nice stuff, just not overly complex.

Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Hazy dark brown-amber color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of fruit, malt and coffee. Light-bodied with flavors of burnt malt, fruit and mild coffee. The finish is roasty with a grainy and spicy rye malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft at the red hot. Pours a brownish red color with a slightly sour fruit, apple like aroma. Dark sour fruit, but mild in the sour part. Decent fruit flavor. Finishes both sweet and sour. Not a standout sour for me, but good overall.

22oz bottle - poured into 2nd generation Blvd chalice - ~$5
Pours with a reddish brown color, clear beer. The head is minimal and leaves some lacing on the glass. Aroma is moderately strong with a mix of light ground and light roast enveloped within a mild and pleasant light berry sourness. The flavor is similar with a very nice and slightly stronger sourness and lower roast. I love the non-stoutly roast mixed with earthy sourness that is very mild. Medium body with a long and nicely unassertive, long lingering sourness. Light tart berry all over the place. This is a very fun and easy beer that has great meld of aspects.

Draught at Collective on Tap, Woodinville, WA
Cloudy dark amber to brown color with compact head. Dry and weak mouthfeel, with very light malt flavor; the light sourness doesn’t seem to play well here, there is a light lemony touch, and some final astringency.. The bitterness is not noticeable.
Weird. Historical, but not very pleasant.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits clear amber body that supports a tiny white head. The aroma is kind of wine like tartness mixed with roasted malts. The taste starts with sweet malts, roasted malts, a dash of chocolate and faint burnt malts. It then picks up some tartness that has a slight white wine feel to it. Toward the finish it gets back into a mix of roasted malts and chocolate malts. Pretty darn nice.
