This strong, dark, and aromatic cream stout is rich black velvet in colour, with coffee and vanilla notes coming from the blend of local malts and hops. This stout has a smooth and creamy chocolate flavour, together with a satisfying bittersweet aftertaste.

Bottle – gift from my brother. Pours almost black with a small, transient, frothy beige head. Plenty of malts and chocolate in the aroma here. In the mouth though it’s the vanilla which hits the taste buds first, swiftly followed by coffee grounds and then chocolate. Whilst roasted malts are underneath there all the time. Finish has sweetness at the front, but bitter hops lurking behind. This is a straight up stout. No gimmicks, but done excellently. Outstanding – and dangerously drinkable !

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Appearance - opaque black, generous light tan to fawn head. Nose - creamy chocolate and coffee. And a hint of creamy vanilla, alright. Taste - more coffee and cream. Further on, there's light toffee amongst milk chocolate. Light roastiness rounds it off. Palate - creamy texture, light roasty finish, medium bodied. Overall - very nice.

Virtually black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of licorice and burnt grains. A touch of vanilla. Taste is mildly bitter the whole way through with some creamy, oatmeal like sweetness underneath. Body to the full side of medium, carbonation soft. Pleasant.
