Bottle. Great aromas of plum and raisin - aka dark fruits. Brownish mahogany color with a beige/tan head that flattened and ringed rapidly. Full bodied with mild, very creamy carbonation. Flavor is definitely those dark fruits, and it calls to mind Old Peculier, but on roids. It’s sweet, and there’s some toasted malt and hop to balance that, but "on balance" the taste and the finish is sweet. But it is wonderful in the mouth. The fruit is just fantastic. Some chocolate notes show up in the finish.

An excellent porter and by far and away the best beer in Saku’s portfolio in my view. The taste and aroma is very malty along with some caramel and cinnamon on the nose with a little bit of coffee. The taste is malty and very warming with coffee and a hint of plain chocolate! I just wish they produced this all year round as sometimes the supplies do not last the year!

(50 cl bottle, thanks oh6gdx!) Black color, brown head. Metallic, grainy and sweet raissinous scent. Also some chocolate an dalcohol. Coffee and roasted malt taste, molasses and anise. Smooth mouthfeel. Long roasted aftertaste. Low bitterness. Mix very nice when sampling it with some 86% cocoa dark chocolate.

Bottle. Clear dark brown / black color with a large frothy good lacing mostly lasting light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, burnt, coffee, sugar, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter (burnt bitter) with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.

Bottle: Very dark, bigger yellowish, quite stable head; roasted malt, sweet malt, dark fruits and a tinge of coffeee in the aroma; creamy, soft MF, medium to full bodied; sweet coffee, roasted malt in the lingering bitter-sweet finish. A very good stuff......

(bottle) Very dark brown, almost black colour with a thick and dense, beige coloured foamy head. Roast-malty aroma, slightly sugary with caramel, cacao and a touch of liquorice sweetness. Roast-bitter flavour, pleasant roast-malt character with caramel, liquorice and notes of chocolate in the background, medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Dry-ish, bitter-roasty finish with a coffee-like aftertaste. Nice and pleasant.

Dark brown with a brown creamy head. Malty caramel aroma - easy roasted malts & metal. Smooth roasted malty taste more caramel than coffee with again a metallic note. Slight sweet with a dry bitter end!

Bottle, 7.5%. Mildly bready aroma, I do not get any roasted notes or the like. Black colour, big stable light brown head. The flavour is a lot more powerful than the aroma. Slightly sweet liquorice flavour, turning more bitter before going liquoricy again. Good, sticky mouthfeel. Very nice.
