Deep ruby purple body. Kind of a grassy black currant aroma, could be the honey tempering the sweetness. Taste is a narrow black currant, soft honey notes, ending with a very nice sweetness but just a little too thin. Still quite enjoyable.

2014 bottle, pours an opaque dark purpleish red. Nose brings out sweet berries upfront, with subdued honey. Flavour is very sweet, with sweet berries, slight honey and a mild alcohol tinge. Well-balanced but a bit too sweet for me. Decent.

Bottle - Sweet black current, almost cranberry. Deep maroon. Tart and sweet black currant with a light sweet finish. Much like a rich cranberry juice.

Bottle at the meadery, synthetic cork, vintage 2009
Amber color with copper hue, dense. Very nice aroma of berry syrup, deep, with notes of wood, light acidity. Semi-dry mouthfeel, light vinous character, some tannins, mild acidity, light oxidization, and a lingering final bitterness.
