(bottle 0,33l from Pivní mozaika online shop) Overall: Good belgian stout. Nothing special. Aroma: Light dark malts, dried fruits, later light alcohol. Appearance: Dark brown. Medium, light brown head. Taste: Light sweet, light roasty, dark malts, dried fruits, light chocolate, later light alcohol spicy. Palate: Medium-full body. Light sticky texture. Dry, light astringent, light warm finish.

Seems more boozy than 8.5%... but it is very well balanced. The bitterness and roast perfectly complement each other. Body is light and lends to the drinkability. Cafe gollem rasmsteg ams

@home poured into a pint glass. Roast nose. Clear deep ruby brown colour, tall creamy macropore beige head, diminishing slowly, light lacing. Aroma roasted malt, sweet malt, liquorice, candy sugar, light cocoa powder, bit salty. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, roast, liquorice, light chocolate, brown sugar, bit umami. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, roasted malt aftertaste, some burnt sugar/caramel, bit sugary, salty notes, not that complex tastewise, bit of a disappointment expected more, still very nice.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a very very dark brown almost black colour with a large foamy beige head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, dry dark fruits and toasty brown bread . Taste is of dark fruits, roasted malts, a little coffee, chocolate and brown bread plus a little added molasses, liquorice, brown sugar and a touch of sea salt. Medium body with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Roasty, salty aroma and flavor with coffee and chocolate. Sweet with some tropical fruit. Just a hint of apple sourness. Lovely stout, maybe a bit thin. Another good beer from the Scheldebrouwerij.
