Rich and dark, this full bodied stout has just enough hop bitterness to counter the big and bold malt backbone. Chocolate malt and roasted barley yield rich flavours and smoky aromas of coffee and dark chocolate. Slight ester presence, with hints of pear and blackberry. This face-warming favourite was blessed by the late addition of boreal birch syrup (produced in Quesnel at Moose Meadow Farms), lending it a truly unique flavour. Goes well with any hearty dishes, or try sipping it while roasting marshmallows around the campfire.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Black color with small head. The aroma has some roasted malt and roasted nuts, it’s also lightly appley, maybe something to tune with the fermentation. But the mouthfeel is quite smooth, reasonably dry, with an excellent flavor of roasted malts and a hint of dark chocolate; the high bitterness and the resiny hops mark the difference with other Stouts. Crossover Stout - Black IPA.
Excellent.
