Keg at the brewery. Slightly hazy amber, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of whiskey, vanilla, toffee, oak. Taste is grapefruit, citrus, oak, pale malt, whiskey. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Draft - caramel and sweet Whisky notes. Clear copper with a rich beige head. Whisky and barrel notes with some caramel. Woody and bitter finish, which takes away from the beer,

Draft @ FoBAB 2009, Chicago, IL. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty woody hoppy weak dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty dark fruit flavor with hints of wood and hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty dark fruit finish.

GABF Taster Pours out a copper topped with a sand head. Aroma was of vanilla, bourbon, and some light hops. Taste was more of the sweet whisky barrels, the vanilla and caramel.
