Small sample from tap. Clear deep brown color. Off white, creamy and rocky head, good lacing. Aroma’s: caramle, dark sugar, red fruit. Retronasal the red fruit is upfront, with brown sugar more subdued. Flavor is moderate sweet, caramel. Medium bodied. Finishes light herbal, light bitter. Rather boring, but decent.

Roodbruin bier met stevig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van karamel en toffee. Komt wat waterig over helaas.

Bottle at home. Very dark brown with fluffy beige head. Some raisins, brown bread, light minerals, toffee, light dried fruits, cocoa, some herbs and tart untie berries. Light sweet and light bitter with a light tart touch. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Not bad but quite bland in the taste. I don’t say this often with Belgian beers, but this could benefit from a bit more sweetness. The best thing about this are the looks, but it has artificial coloring. Meh.

Tap. Disguised as "Ras Import" in Haderslev, cleared up by Bamsen. Very dark brown, thick light beige head. Caramel and brown sugar aroma with yeasty notes. Similar flavour with the yeast a bit more pronounced plus hints of dried fruit. Decent.

Pours dark brown with an initial tan head that doesn’t last. The aroma contains roasted malts, caramel, brown sugar, toast and some fruits. Tastes medium to light sweet with a roasty, short dry aftertaste. The palate is underwhelming, though: quite a light body, compensated by good carbonation, but something metallic in the taste. Succeeds in aroma, falls short in taste and palate.

Draught @ Ras, Haderslev. Pours clear dark ruby / copper brown with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt and touches of caramel. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with notes of fruit and Belgian yeast. Estery and slightly acidic aftertaste with nutty hints. A reasonable Dubbel.
