Deep red brown color, average creamy tan head, vanishes after a while, good lacing. Aroma sweet malty, dark fruits, brown sugar, caramel, mocca, light liquorice, bit roasted. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter, roasted. Medium to full body, creamy texture, sweetbitter finish, bit roasty and spicy.

Pour is deep brick red with a tan head. Aroma is sweet fruits, raisin, plum, brown sugar, sweet malt. Full bodied with refined (i.e. tiny bubbles) carbonation. Flavor lacks a bit of the depth of the aroma but is still once. Plum and raisin, some light sweet ripe fruit, and a bit of alcohol that leads us to the finish. A decent dubbel but I wish the flavor stood up with the aroma.

Aroma: fruity lollipop with slight acidity, toffee.
Taste: again lollipoppy sweetness, light phenolic bitterness, perhaps some hop bitterness too.
An average dubbel.

Der Antrunk ist weich-malzig und angenehm süffig. Der Hauptteil ist auch schön malzig-süßlich-ausgewogen. Ganz leicht säuerlich. Ein schönes vollmundig-hefig-malziges Bier.

Flaske fra "Welcome Super Shop", i parken ved hotellet: sommervarmen fortsetter, og dette er en fin måte å dekke dagens behov for snop: lys karamell og sjokolade. Dette sklir lett ned og feriestemningen er upåklagelig!

33 cl. bottle @ Gollem. BBF 12/01/2014. Ruby hued brown with a tanned head. Nose is very simple liquorish, dark fruits and sugar with some malts. Taste is simple, sweet syrupy, liquorish, dark fruits, light iron in the back, malts, cheap chocolate. Body is lightly syrupy. Overall a mainstream non-complex sweet Belgian beer. As simple and as pleasing as they come but not necessarily bad or anything because of this. Certainly enjoyable if you like the style.
