Nothing wrong with this beer at all, but it does seem like an older interpretation of the style. Gold color and a tall lacing head. Aroma has resinous hops and some citrus. Flavor is balanced with sweet malt and bread dough as well as the hop qualities that make it lightly bitter.

Bottle. Tomato juice, orange, caramel malt, and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with giant off-white head. Moderately sweet tomato/orange juice, caramel malt, and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Okay body. DMS issues.

Bottle: Hazy amber/gold with a chunky beige head. Pink grapefruit, orange, caramel aroma. Mild, slightly mineral bittering, caramel malt, orange-peel flavour. Not bad, at first........then a sort of acrid/metallic aspect set in....really took a nosedive.

Draft - Caramel and grapefruit. Clear gold with a decent off white head. Grapefruit and a nice caramel backbone with some nice bitterness. Nothing exciting, but solid.

Draft at the Rock Island Bent River location. Poured a mostly clear dark orange color with a small white head. Aroma was notes of nice hoppy citrus notes, with some light fruit, good balanced malts in this one. Flavor was intense hop and malt notes - very bold and enjoyable. Light grapefruit, floral notes, pine. Enjoyable sweet notes to this one.
