Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot peak with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

Draught @ Ölrepubliken. Pours clear amber with a creamy white head that leaves some nice looking lacing while dissipating. Smell is subtle, hoppy and slightly sweet with grapefruit juice, orange peal and hints of caramel. Taste is slightly sweet and bitter with oily pine, freshly cut grass, orange peal and hints of bread and grapefruit juice. Mouthfeel is tiny oily and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with grass and orange peal.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Slightly hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. Excellent lacing. The aroma is quite sweet and malty for an IPA. Subdued lychee notes. Flavour of tangy orange, grapefruit and lime. Good balance between caramel sweetness and hop bitterness. Medium body with an oily texture. Light carbonation. A decent IPA (in pretty awful packaging).

Draft at Dexters. Filtered looking golden-amber. Massive steady off-white head. Astringent lemon citrus aroma. Smooth and fresh, somewhat doughy body. Somewhat soapy. Hop characted isn’t super defined, but certainly quite present. Nice.

Pours amber with a large, lasting head.Nose shows caramel, pine, resin and spicy hops. Somewhat faint for an IPA though.Flavours are more aggressive, if not more complex. Lots of resin and caramel, followed by a bold bitterness.Could use a lighter body, feels syrupy.

Orange colour, beige head. Fresh hops aroma, malts, passion fruit, kumquat. Flavour quite bitter hops, light sweet malts, honey, bit sticky sweetness. Finish hoppy, ending sticky sweet, somewhat reminding of turkish delight. Quite nice.

3/I/2012 12Fl. Oz. bottle @ Klaas' place - BB: not indicated (2012-6) Thanks to Klaas for sharing the bottle!

Bit cloudy deep orange beer, small off-white head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: passion fruits, pineapple, bit yeasty, very faint cheesy touch. MF: good carbon, full body, bit creamy texture. Taste: fruity start, citrus, sour pineapple, bitter-sweet, then sweet malty and sweet alcohol keeping things in balance, some honey, flowery, Turkish delight. Aftertaste: bitter, flowers, honey, turning to a dry bitter but not exaggerated.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber with gentle bubbles and a generous head. The nose has ginger biscuits and pine and sage stuffing. The taste has creamy grapefruit and then a lemon pith finish. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a dry (perhaps too dry) finish. Overall, great though the palate is slightly too bitter.
