Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot peak with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

355ml bottle from Systembolaget, Linköping. Clear, golden-brown coloured body. Decent off-white head. Fragile lacework. Smooth floral hops to the nose. Taste of mild orange and lemon shells, partly offset by sweet malts. Sharp, dry bitterness to the ending, otherwise masked alcohol (hotel room, 06.02.2010).

Bottle. Clear, dark amber with a rather small white head. The aroma was ok, not so fruity. A lot of malt and some grass and grapefruit. The taste was quite simple, not so exciting. Caramel, grape also something sweet like honey. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with a rather firm beige head. Malty aroma with some citrusy hops. Malty base with lots of hops just like the back lable promises.

Biggish shiny offwhite head. Deep amber body. Strawy resiny floral aroma with caramelly knekk (caramelized sugar) notes. Harmonic. Dry strawy grainy resiny taste with caramelly rye notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry floral knekk aftertaste with metallic notes. Nice and drinkable. Bitterness settles in mouth. (0.355l bottle, Olympen, Oslo.)

12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%. Deep golden colour, big off-white head. The aroma has plenty of fruity American hops, notes of fresh orange marmalade and grapefruit. The flavour is a solid hoppy attack from start to finish, with a subdued malty sweetness in the background. Very bitter aftertaste.

Appearance: Pours a deep copper-orange with slight opacity and a firm, white head. Strong lacing. Aroma: Intense hop aroma with considerable floral notes and mild citrus impressions. Flavor: Begins with citrusy hops and sweet malts, smacking of honey and caramel. Eases its way into a resinous, piney flavor. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with light carbonation. High bitterness to start subsides to a rich, sticky aftertaste. Lip-smacking, if you know what I mean. Overall Impression: Another solid IPA from the West Coast. Great work.

Bottle, love how I waited to be back in TX for this. Pours a clear golden amber color with a nice fluffy white head. Malt, a bit of harsh grain, some earthy, nearly british style hops. A bit of caramel. A bit of faded hops, herbal, a bit of tea. Light bubbles, dryish. Very bland.

(Re-rate, bottle, 0.355 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, 20120211) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, malts and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, pine, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. Better than the draught version I had tasted. Nice long lasting flavour.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, on 2009-07-28) Deep amber and clear. Dense, medium sized and white head. Hops and malts in aroma. Medium bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Strongly malts, hops, lightly sweetness, grass and bitterness in taste. Malty and bitter aftertaste. Ok but boring. Old score: 7-3-7-3-12=3.2
