Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot peak with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

On tap. Pours a dark Amber with moderate head. Aromas of caramel, sweet malts and light pine. Flavors of orange marmalade, toffee, pine and toasted malts. Pretty good balance.

Orange-golden color with nice medium head. Not as fruity as other IPAs, some floral notes and pines. The toasty malt body is very present. Good bitter finish. Not sure if this is exactly my type of IPA, but I like it more and more with every sip.

Draught at Fermentoren, Cph. Hazy, amber colour with a small, bubbly white head. Fruity aroma with caramel, bread, citrus, grass, tangerine, oranges and floral hops. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity-bitter with caramel, floral hops and a good amount of sweet fruits. Rather sweet for an American IPA, almost bordering a DIPA. Lacks a bit of fresh in-your-face hops bitterness.

Bottle from Soho Wine at home. Translucent copper amber pour. Fruity malty aroma. Taste is very bitter-crisp with a bready backbone. Better than I'd expected. Very crisp with lasting bitterness. Not bad - especially given the price.

Typical American West Coast IPA with an off-white, stable, nicely regular head and pure amber colour, clear but very slightly hazy after adding the yeast deposit. Aroma strikingly bready, walnuts, lemon zest, nutmeg, honey, caramel, dried orange peel, gingerbread, old cake, candied figs, tobacco; taste begins with fresh fruitiness and citrussy, orange-like touch, medium carbo, caramelly sweetish malts in the background, slick and oily mouthfeel, gradually becoming more hoppy but in an elegant, not agressive way, grapefruity, grassy and herbal, elegant and gentle, long-lasting with subtle sharpish spiciness here and there, alcohol almost perfectly masked. Tasted relatively young (inasmuch as this is possible in Europe) and at two years of age - the latter being obviously less assertive, more ’tame’ as it were, with reduced hop bitterness and reduced carbonation. Clearly not a beer to keep in the cellar for too long, which I knew in advance, but hey, you can’t drink ’em all at once, can you... Paled a bit against their Heelch o’Hops which I litterally put next to it, but the latter is after all a double IPA (and a lot younger) so it didn’t really stand a chance. Objectively rated by itself, this is still a very enjoyable IPA. I’m sure this tastes a whole lot different fresh from tap, so I won’t be to harsh on it either.

Pours slightly hazy coppery color topped with a nice and lasting off white head. Pleasant sweet and fruity aroma. Taste is strong and straight bitter. Some fruits also present, but as I said - hoppy bitterness.
