It would only make sense for us to dedicate the name of the beer to our brewery and tap room location, a 104-year old firehall in downtown Kenora. A small amount of chocolate malt provides the colour and aroma of this amber coloured ale while the aftertaste is of almond and the finish is dry. English hop varieties are used although the balance is towards the malt.

Draft at the northern ontario microbrew festival.
Very dark amber, pretty much brown pour, with a small off white head. Aroma of sweet malts, also quite nutty with some toasted caramels too. Nice mouth feel, and carb. Nutty finish, with some semi sweet caramel malts, and subtle bitterness with no hops. Leaning more towards a brown ale, than an amber.

Oh boy! You can really smell the chocolate malts and almonds. Then the amber ale side of things appear with the fruity malts and grassy hops. Deep amber colour with a mocha-coloured head, decent stay and some nice creamy-patchy lacing. Nutty tasting with the fruity malts and some good hops. Quite a decent nut brown with a tad more hops for the style. Great lingering nuttiness.
