This deep amber winter warmer combines six different English malts with 5 different hops (English & American) to create a full bodied English style strong ale. This beer is very complex & as the beer warms up the blend of flavours exude from this rich, nutty, fruity seasonal ale.

On tap at Four Mile, pours a clear dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry bready English malt and light toasted caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with a good balance of toasted bready malt and dry caramel notes. Fairly robust in flavour but with a light body. Decent.

A lot better than the bourbon barrel aged version. Pours amber without much head or lacing. Lots of caramelize malt and light booze. Sweet finish. Tap at brewpub.

Draught at the brewpub
Beautiful amber color, clean, with generous head. It has a pleasant candyish caramel and malt aroma and flavor, and relatively low bitterness, with light fruity esters.
Pleasant.
