This beer is a true representation of British brewing & is in tribute to the “godfather” of English Craft Brewing, Peter Austin. The beer is a beautiful balance of English malt & hops with a soft palate which promotes all the subtle flavour of this beer. We are serving this cask conditioned via a beer engine. Cask conditioned means the beer is naturally carbonated & is traditionally served warmer than the average North American beer & is not as carbonated. This is a true session beer.

On tap at Four Mile, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of butterscotch and English bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines: loads of butterscotch (not quite diacetyl) and bready English malt. Decent enough, but not a skilled beer. Not too interesting.

Bottle. Dark Amber, golden lace. Medium light slightly tinny caramel base, minerally hops, classy finish. Sits a bit heavy on the palate.

Beautiful golden color with generous head. Mild malt aroma and flavor with gentle citrusy hopping.
Pleasant.

Draft - Earthy hops, light caramel and a touch of soap. Clear copper with a nice head. Light citrus and a pithy bitterness. Light caramel and cereal notes. Not bad.
