Cloudy amber-tan, bubbly head. Hop nose is orangey, lightly biscuity, with maybe a little mushroomy hop character. Earthy, rich bitterness. The hops are woody, bit lemony, not all that bright. Biscuity malt and the yeast - there’s quite a bit of yeast character on this - muddles some of the hop brightness up more than I’d like. Ok IPA, assertive and dry.

650ml bottle from Steamworks Liquor Store, Vancouver, BC

Pours hazy orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus, musty maltiness and caramel. Taste is bitter, musty and malty with some grassy happiness, citrus and caramel. Finish is bitter, hoppy and crisp with some musty notes and citrus. A bit stuffy and unbalanced.

Bottle - Grapefruit and light malts. Cloudy copper with decent beige head. Light grapefruit, sweet caramel malts and light bitter finish. Decent, but nothing special.

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Cloudy orange-golden color with compact head. Aroma of grainy malts, cereals, straws. The mouthfeel is smooth, soft; good caramel flavor, toffee, some grains; strong bitterness, well integrated, with hop resins but not much fresh fruit presence; some bitter orange character though.
Pleasant, quite old style (reminds me of my first IPAs in the 90’s); at 10$ it’s overpriced nevertheless (1 point less for this).

650mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a very large white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, citrus zest, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is very dry and piney, with loads of piney hops, citrus zest and a crisp biscuity malt backing. Really dry, zesty, hoppy and refreshing. Exceptionally well-balanced, with a lot of hop potency.
