Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy orange to amber color. There was some light lacing trickling into the beer. There was a half finger white foamy head.
The smell had some sharp pine with a little bit of tobacco.
The taste had a nice bittersweet blend and brought back the tobacco to intertwine with the flavor.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable aspect running in and out coating my tongue.
Overall, this was a pretty good AIPA worthy of having again.

Draft - Sweet grapefruit and light malt. Cloudy gold with a thin white head. Bright grapefruit and a dry resinous finish. Decent.

On tap @ the new location in downtown Fort Collins. Pours a pretty clear, dark orange appearance with a white head. A lot of grapefruity citrus in the nose with a bit of caramel and toast. Moderate bitterness. Not overly sweet. A touch thick. Grapefruit, bubblegum flavors. OK.

This pours a cloudy(bottle conditioned/unfiltered) straw gold, 1 finger head of foam.
The smell is weak. I get a bit of lemon zest and a bit of grass.
The taste is of lemon zest, a weak malt backbone, a bitterish finish that isn’t all that pleasing.
The first bottle I tried, I liked it more than the 2 I’ve had since. Bottle variation? Maybe. Or, I’m getting more used to the flavours presented in the beer and I’m realizing the beer isn’t pleasing my palate as much as I thought it did.
For 7.0% abv it, despite my negative comments, is pretty easy drinking but I wouldn’t spend another +$9 for a six pack.
