Draft at the source. Dark gold, off-white head. Malty aroma. Caramel, toffee, bready, alcohol. Warming finish.

On tap at Hopshead, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has some floral notes and lightly sweet bready malt. Flavour is boozier, with bready malt, a touch of toasted caramel and light alcohol. Pretty restrained for something that's 8.9%. Decent.

On tap @ the brewery. Dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Twangy, veggie, chewy herbal nose. Medium body. Low sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Tangy flavor. Kind of doughy, celery flavor. I’m not a fan.

Hazy dull tan. Aroma is really fruity, lots of pear, light apple, too. Sweet, a bit syrupy, quite estery, Honestly I’m not sure what to make of that one. Odd brew.

Cask - Fruity, plum, raisin and dark fruit, cloudy brown with a huge white head. Creamy dark fruit. Stunning, these guys rock. Nice big flavours in a subtle package. A little flowery and couldn’t drink a lot, but the one was the bees knees.

Tap - an interesting take on an old ale - some toffee and light treacle sweetness makes way for a moderate burton bite and some bright, almost tropical fruit character (melon, mango, citrus) - quite bright and kind of light for the style - slick mouthfeel - finish of melon and mango flesh, bright acids - interesting.
