Franc Belge (5,2% vol.alc.) is a "Spéciale Belge" type beer, an amber colored ale. With an alcohol level of 5,2 % i, it is a beer with a very good drinkability.
Taste; The lightly coloured malts give the beer a soft malty flavour, with a touch of bitterness at the end derived from the Fuggles hops.

Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours a murky amber/orange colour with a medium sized off white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of stoney fruits, caramel, spice, citrus peel, floral, tea leaves, biscuits and bread. More of the same notes in the taste, quite peppery, grassy and an earthy hop bitterness on a long finish. Light bodied and a fairly lively mouthfeel. Pretty good

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma beige fine persistente, color ambrato limpido, al naso lieviti belgi spezie frutta matura, in bocca malto spezie frutta gialla coriandolo, lieve astringente, carbonatazione decisa, corpo leggero, amaro moderato molto lungo, secca asciutta nel finale. Si avvicina molto a una Saison. Ottima ben fatta. c. Bottega della birra Arona 24.01.20

Nice easy drinking aroma. Pours dark amber with great head of foam, good lacing. Some citrus and a light touch of pepper. Nice balance, and I enjoy the touch of bitterness at the finish. Tap at Sovereign.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Orange amber colour. Soft haze. Off white head is fairly dense, lasting, and semi lacing. Nose has burnt caramel. Lots of spicy hop leaf. Some hedgerow berry fruit. Earthy rye. Taste has a light, burnt caramel sweetness, but is mostly spicy, herbal, earthy bitterness. Light to medium body with some oiliness. Brisk carbonation. Lengthy bitterness on the finish.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Floral, grassy, hoppy and mellow, biscuity, malty aroma, hints of chamomile, green tea, a touch of Earl Grey tea, bergamot, pear, fresh hay, minimally waxy overtones of orange peel. Taste is bitter, grassy, slightly floral, leafy and minimally fruity hoppy, minimally bready, biscuity, mellow malty, hints of fresh hay, a touch of chamomile, bergamot, berries, black tea, lemon tea, subtle sweetness, slightly bitter and minimally waxy overtones of orange peel. Quite complex, a plethora of flavours with slightly provocative, challenging character, nevertheless harmonious and balanced, highly drinkable.
