This delightfully drinkable ale offers a crisp, yet complex, balance of subtle fruit flavor and aroma with a zesty, citrusy finish. Brewed with natural raspberry puree and orange peel.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a clear pink color with a thin fizzy head. Poor head retention. Aroma of tart berries and faint malts. The taste is berry soda, caramel and nutty notes. Medium bodied, highly carbonated. This is basically soda.

Weird aroma of chemicals, koji, and honey. Raspberry is present but understated. Clear orange and headless. Raspberry flavor. Very chemical throughout but most prominent on the back end. A bit like new plastic. All natural ingredients, all artificial flavor.

12 oz. bottle. $2 at Lemon Tree. First beer I’ve seen with the "Nutrition Facts" on the label. Fizzy pinkish body and head. Light raspberry smell. Nothing to replace the missing malt smell. Taste is a bit of raspberry in light sparkling wine. For a brew with corn in it, it manages to rein in the usual corn sweetness. Instead, a dry, fizzy brew with raspberry in balance. Not much bitterness, so the light dryness carries the day. Best sorghum beer I’ve had.

Crap - now with berry! +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a salmon-orange color with a large soapy light pink head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy artificial sugar, artificial berry, yeast and had an odd off presence. The flavor was grainy cereal, artificial sugar, artificial berry and was a touch medicinal. The finish was medium length tangy berry. Medium body. Awful, which is a step up for these guys.

Smell of mild raspberry taffy. Looks like sprkling rose wine. Taste is off but yet raspberry, of course. Starts to come across like a spritzer. Yes, very much like sweet wine and lemon lime/ginger ale mixed. Just not quite as sweet. Goes down fairly easy after a rough day.

Bottle from Ledgers. Pours rather rose with a few bubbles/no head. Aroma is more perfumey/floral than raspberry. Near med body. Flavor is floral, even rose, with some raspberry. There’s a papery flavor in the finish.

12 oz bottle into tulip. Ugh...this thing smells foul. Smells like vinegar and chemicals. Pours a clear deep gold with a small white quickly-collapsing head. Taste is sweet and tart with no bitterness. Tastes like raspberry seltzer water with a hint of beer. Corn and alcohol are noticeable in the finish. Carbonation is medium, body is thin. Not good, but what do you expect from a sorghum beer?
