Bringing together the best of the northwest- Ninkasi Brewing and Parallel 49 Brewing- this red rye lager is citrusy and hoppy with a crisp finish. The real sign of a successful night isn’t 20/20 hindsight - it’s red eyes.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark copper amber with a small off-white head. Nose brings out quite a bit of earthy notes, some rye, and dry caramel malts. Flavour is very dry, bringing out dry earthy notes, a little caramel and subdued rye malts. The earthy notes dominate, followed by the rye, making a very drinkable dry, earthy amber ale. Very solid stuff and well-made - just nothing special or memorable.

Bottle - Resinous hops, amber malts. Clear dark brown with a thin head. Hop forward and resinous with a nice balanced caramel malts. A little bitter, but still pretty nice. Finish has a bit of alcohol, but isn’t bad.
