12 oz bottle poured. Brought a six pack of this back home after a fantastic visit to their brew pub. A really interesting, yet inviting malt aroma. Very malty beer, and the flavor is very nice. Definite hop presence towards the finish. Nutty flavor as well. Very much enjoy this beer.

Draft - Sweet roasted malts with a clear dark amber hue and nice persistent head. Nice malty notes with a balanced bitterness. A nice brown if not plain.

Aroma of nutty malt sweetness. Clear chestnut brown with very little head. Slightly medium-thin mouthfeel. Malty with a little medicine. Chewy for the thin mouthfeel. Not bad.

Sample taster at John’s Market Place. Nose of roastiness, caramel, and a cocoa hint. Clear brown with a medium beige head. Flavor was caramel maltiness with only a hint of bitterness.

Bottle from Sondra. Amber color with a decent off-white head. Rich, lightly roasted, malt aroma. Medium in body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is roasty malty sweet, with a little accompanying bitter. The finish is sort of creamy sweet with a little backing bitter. Very pleasant and quaffable brown ale. Might be a good session ale.

Tap at Cascade Lakes Lodge pours out brownish amber topped with a off white head. A nice malt on this one. Almost porter like.
