This red lager is brewed with toasted barley grains for a slightly sweet aroma with a touch of hops, a rich caramel malt taste, and a smooth finish with a hint of molasses. Inspired by George Washington's recipe. $1 will be donated to Folds of Honor for each case sold.

16oz can picked up at Total Wine in Spokane
Pours clear dark amber with a small off-white head that dissipates quick, light lacing. Caramel, toasted malts, vanilla and some bitterness

Freshest before September 27th. Oh well.
Red Lager? Looks copper coloured to me, the foam is short lasting despite the fact that I bought it outside of the cooler and never put it in the fridge
The smell is very much of caramel malt, grain, some butterscotch. Not an officious start.
The tastes are true to the smell and that's unfortunate. Little bit of fruitiness shows up but I reckon that the damage has already been done
Thin bodied without getting to the watery stage, I still can't and will not endorse this offering. One bottle is more than enough.

Bottle. Nutty toffee malt and weedy grass aroma. Dark amber with large light tan head. Mildly sweet nutty toffee malt, and moderately bitter quinine and grass flavor. Good body. Decent.

I really want to like this, but that Bud acetaldehyde was just too much for me. So its a boring caramelly lager, I think it may be the old Mich Amber Bock in new clothes. But with a distinct green apple note, pretty hard to drink.

Pours deep ruby orange into a shaker. White head crackles and recedes to hug rim. Sweet caramel aromas. Soft with sweet caramel corn upfront turning dry in the cloying finish.

aroma of malt, typical of lager. Pours amber/red with a thick head. Typical lager taste without any distinctive or notable influences on the palate. Sweet aftertaste, odd and hard to pin down. Label attributes it to molasses.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours brilliant copper with a near-white head. Aroma of slightly toasty malt. Med body. Flavor is slightly toasty (ambery) malt, with, I say this honestly, strawberry. WTF! It's malty, not dry, mildly bitter, but the hop? Strawberry? Well, that's probably just me. Not my beer style, but at least there's no unpleasant chocolate in this ambery thing. I may actually finish the bottle.
