The first installment in the Project Session IPA series features Calypso hops, known for pear and apple attributes that are often uncommon in hops. This is partnered with a light addition of lime zest which brightens the existing hop character and creates an exciting complexity in the overall aromatics. The light and clean body allows for the hops and zest to own the show, making this a complex and easy drinking experience.

Keg at BD TH, 13/06/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is citric sherbets, light breads, tangerine, melon. Taste comprises orange peel, mineral bite, toasted grains, melon, citric tinged straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Passable session affair.

Nice refreshing stuff in the summer sun. Nice citric profile. Pleasant fruity and a fine lime sting in the end. Ok lasting tail.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, pine and tobbaco aroma with a hint of onion, herbal onion flavor with a lemon zestiness and bitterness and just a hint of honey drops in the back. Nice and enjoyable.

Can from BrewDog Aberdeen. It pours lightly hazy golden with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma is bright, zingy, zesty, lime, sherbet, bread and biscuit. The taste is dry, crisp, clean, zingy lime, lemon, straw, grass, white pepper, pine, biscuit and bread with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Zingy and very drinkable stuff.

Sample at the Columbus taproom during the "Lemon Cruller Can Release" on 03/10/2018. Slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lace. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of zesty lime, piney hops and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a lime and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
