Bottle picked up from Waitrose, Aylesbury, consumed at home Sunday 3rd December 2017 whilst cooking homemade Chicken and Mushroom Pie and Truffle Mash. We drink this beer in memory of our dear friend Neil who passed away last night. Pours amber actually maybe copper with a white head. This is a glorious beer, certainly with a nod to an ESB of old I guess but robust and yet not too strong, fruity with a nice earthy but resplendent bitterness. Really loved this. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Bottle from Waitrose. Mahogany coloured pour with a white head. Aromas of red apple, caramel, black cherries, vanilla. Flavours of toffee apple, orchard fruit, sweet malt, brown bread, caramel. Sweet, malty finish. Very good.

Bottle from 6 pack selection box, Waitrose, Finchley Road, London. An amber/brown coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, fruity, caramel aroma. Tastes fruity, caramel, similar to Fullers ESB.

Bottle. Part of the Fullers and Friends pack. Waitrose. Clear, deep copper colour. Thin, clingy, white head. Nose has caramel malts. Spicy ginger biscuit. A bit nutty and vinous. Taste is fruity and sweet, with some light vinous character. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body. More fruit and some hop bitterness to finish. Would like to try this from a cask.

Bottle from Waitrose and drunk at home. Clear chestnut brown colour and with a beige head. Earthy bitter aroma. It's a lovely ESB in the mouth. I love the flavours. Malty, sweetish, peppery hop. Loved it. Great ESB. Loved the malt. Tasty.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - bright amber. Nice lacy head. Nose - caramel biscuits. Light fruit in there. Taste - more on the toffee and caramelside. A touch of stewed apple on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied and tangy throughout. Overall - good but would've liked more biscuit.

Bottle from Waitrose, Comely Bank shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of oat biscuit and faint fruit. Taste is light sweet, toffee, oats. Light bitter, nicely balanced.

Unclear dark color with a tan head. Looks nice. Ok lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Toffee, fruity, mild roast and bready flavor. A really nice beer. A bit brown ale ish.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Mahogany and slightly cloudy with a very loose beige head on top. Milk chocolate, plum pudding, black raspberry notes in the aroma. Sweet taste with a full body, turning to a leafy hop bitterness. Berry sweets and gentle smoky tannins in the aftertaste. Full body. This is exceptional.

Cask-conditioned at the Old Fish Market, Bristol 7/9/2017. Amber in colour, and slightly hazy, with a slight off-white head. Aroma of caramel, red fruit, a slight toastiness and plenty of leafy hops. Flavour inclined towards sweetness with some dense, earthy, malts, more fruit and a decently bitter finish. Very good.
