Sour. IPA. Boom. A beer geeks dream beer. Bitter and sour, two flavor profiles that more often clash then compliment, are brought together in a harmonious blend via the guiding nature of ample amounts of Citra and Centennial on the dry hop. Opening up with a huge nose of fresh citrus and grapefruit, then hitting the pallet up front with firm bitterness, before giving way to back of the tongue acidity, the dance goes on until you’re left wanting more.

Bottle (6.5% ABV). Brett, lemon, biscuit malt, and dry orange peel aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet lemon, biscuit malt, moderately sour Brett and vinegar, and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Good body.

Growler from The Grove Wine & Spirits in Yardville, NJ. Pours a hazy straw gold color with a small white head. Funky lemony nose with hints of bread and dried thyme. First sip is sour citrus and fruity hops. Finish is dry and bitter. An interesting paradox of sour and bitter. Certainly different, but It works nicely.
