We brewed this beer for those who refuse to be ranked and filed: those who are inventing their own American Dream with grit, optimism and ingenuity. Made with All-American Chinook, Liberty, and Cascade hops for a refreshing, bright citrus flavor. Straightforward and unpretentious, Pabst American Pale Ale is beer for the rest of us.

Good for the curiosity factor, I guess, but little else. Thin, watery pale ale, with a strangely pilsner-ish hop profile and malts that still taste closer to an adjunct lager than anything belonging in a quality APA. Corn and mild hints of toasted grain form the base, while the finish grows bitter and floral, but not in any enjoyable sense. Better than PBR, but what isn't?

Keg at the brewery, 11/24/17. Clear pale golden, large creamy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of lemon and pale malt. The taste is lemon, pine, pale malt. Thin.
