Barrel Aged Imperial KY Common. This all started with our recipe for Kentucky Common, the only beer style native to Louisville. Except for this, at the Mayor’s request, we doubled the recipe giving the beer plenty of sweetness with a dash of spice from the corn, barley, and rye. Finally, to make sure that we created a beer that would live up to our city’s namesake, we aged it in Kentucky bourbon barrels for two months. The result is this unique, bourbon aged beer with notes of oak, vanilla, and caramel. We think King Lou would approve!
