Deep completely clear copper coloured body with the slightest of a pink glow, all with a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall pure white, slightly soapy head that covers the beer nicely. Aroma of crisp sugars, light apricots, peaches, tart lemons and limes and a dash of brine in the mix, with some lighter wheat and grainy notes, but those are much further down than the salt and soured components. Light-bodied; Funky, very metallic, like a coin in the hand for a few minutes, profile with a lot of malts noticeable and then some soured acid and candy flavours with perhaps some oranges and limes, but the brine and salt then come through and provide at least some balance. Aftertaste is mild, soft and slightly acidic with the limes and slightly lactobilly notes showing through with some salt there as well, but this is fairly one-dimensional and soured/tart instead of salty or balanced. Overall, still somehow a fairly nice soured/tart beer and much more of that than a gose or salty/briney beer that shows much more of the limes than the salt. That being said, i'll drink it and still cheer on my Lions (horrible team) rather than the Ravens. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 18-September-2020 for US$2,42 sampled in my house here in Washington, after returning home from a Mother's Day weekend in Rocky Mountain National Park with my wife and three kids on 10-May-2021.
