Banana, orange, clove, wheat, and straw aroma. Cloudy yellow with giant white head and mild effervescence. Moderately sweet banana, orange, clove, milky wheat malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Bitter clove aftertaste. Solid.

12 ounce can into weizen glass, canned on 1/3/2019. Pours very hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Amazing appearance. Aromas of lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, peach, pear, red apple, citrus peel/zest, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, peach, pear, red apple, citrus peel/zest, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and pepper/clove yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, peach, pear, red apple, citrus peel/rind, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. High carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a very nice Hefeweizen. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/spicy/drying finish. A little too bitter/hoppy that expected, but not overwhelming. Great balance of nicely rich pale/wheat malts, German yeast, and citrus/earthy hops. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example otherwise.
