A pale amber color beautifully poured with a pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth. Paschke Polish Style Pilsner is reminiscent of some of the great Baltic-style beers. Flavored with a touch of the rare variety Lubinski Hop for a slight floral bitterness. Crafted in honor of Ed Paschke of Chicago himself, “Mr. Chicago.” Celebrating its colorful urban images and its special affinity with its city of origin.

Pour is a hazy gold with a very large and loud white head. Aroma is creamy pale malt with some lemon. Flavor is some floral white grape hop with a creamy almost vanilla flavored malt. This is just ok. It's a slightly different pils with a more floral than usual hop.

Draft at Mariano's, Westmont. A brilliant golden color with plenty of filtering. There is a note of salt in the Bohemian pilsener water profile, but not the wet peanut shell I get with some attempts at Pils. The nose matches with the taste, which really goes in for the extra peppery and dry Lublin Polish hop notes. Like I remember with a draft Okocim. Very much Noble hop bitterness, giving this a dry but hearty mouthfeel. A bit of acid on the aftertaste. Yes, I'm rating this very highly for a light lager, but it's a great example of the style, even better served fresh from the tap.

Lemon, biscuit malt, and hay aroma. Golden yellow with large white head and light effervescence. Mildly sweet lemon, milk, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter metallic weedy hay flavor. Okay body.
