This specialty red lager is brewed with Voyager barley grains for a toasted malt taste with a hint of toffee, a light hoppy aroma, and a sharp finish. Inspired by archival malt-forward recipe brewed at time of Apollo moon missions.

Not the worst bud I’ve ever had.

Very malt forward, heavy on the toffee and caramel, with an undertone of corn sweetness and seltzer. Transitions to English brown ale fruitiness before finishing bland and hop-free. Decent for Budweiser, bad for an actual brewery.

Clear red, beige head. Rich aromatic caramel malts. A little cheesy for a short while. Similar yummy bready caramel, just a tad too watery. Clean, crisp. Sligtly spicy, prickly.

Funny, thought I did this already, can't tell if its red or not but it looks pale thru the bottle. Yes, drank it right out of the bottle. So what, I assume it to be pale? It is a twist off cap after all, no? I have a bias towards twist off caps, be it in a stubbly bottle or a quart, heheheh. Any way, it lacks any pale ale rude ass attitude and I like that. Yes, its reserved, just like in the name. Fine example of a civilized lager, I'm liking it more in the middle. Better than their private reserve and american ale. However, I'm not sher if its as good as the black crown? How about bud getting into the craft thing by buying into ratebeer? Just asking, heheheh. Compare this to the freedom reserve? Probably better. I'm gonna say the project 12 is better than this stuff, but its not bad for a craft beer. BTW, I gave plain old bud a 2.6, heheheh. I need to go back and rate that stuff, its actually pretty good. Who own the right s to Budweiser now? The american version?

Clear ruby-amber color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Aroma of malt, fruit and caramel. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and a bit of hops. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt and fruit aftertaste. Average overall.

$1.99 bottle, TWG. Pours clear reddish brown with a small beige head. Caramel, cherry, malty nose. Flavor is cherry, caramel malt, glue, toffee. It's not as bad as you'd think, but there is still something cheap tasting about it.

I was told Try this, it's not the usual Budweiser. It isn't. It's better. Malt and toast aroma. Malty taste with a bit of herb. Not much of a finish. But still not bad at all.

Pours reddish amber with a thick white head. Aroma of woody malt. Taste has intense amber lager notes; herbs, oak, earth. Palate has an ever-so-slight whiskey element on the back of the tongue that accents the aforementioned tastes. Pretty good.

25 ounce can into lager glass, best before 10/7/2019. Pours crystal clear medium orange/amber/light copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of toffee, roast, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity/metallic aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice aromas with good complexity of bready malts and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of toffee, roast, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, toffee, roast, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good Amber lager. All around nice complexity and robustness of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Very nice clean/rich Munich malt showcase; with solid noble hop presence/balance. Light residual sweet with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Nutty toffee malt, tin, and fresh hay aroma. Dark amber with moderate light tan head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt, and fresh hay flavor. Good body. Decent - pretty solid red lager.
