Using a dark, rich Doppelbock, packed with dried fruit and golden-brown biscuit flavors as a base, we then aged it in bourbon barrels for six months, where it picked up notes of vanilla, oak, and black pepper.

Bourbon, caramel malt, and grass aroma. Dark amber with small off white head. Very sweet brown sugar malt, bourbon, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Nice with subtle bourbon influence.

12oz bottle. Filtered looking caramel brown-amber body. Thin, soda-like head. A pretty interesting combination, the barrel sort of cuts through the malts. Boozy aroma, but pretty pleasant and drinkable for the ABV. Caramel bourbon candy touched sweetness. Pretty solid offering. Full bodied, but not quite in the overbearing realm.
