tap at Pedal City in June 2017 - Dark brown pour. Aroma is of dark, chocolate malt and some tart fruity notes. The flavor is sour-ish with some chocolate and fruity character. Medium bodied. It's different and while it drinks okay, I've thus far not found that tartness in the darker, roasty beers is really my thing.

Draft. Coffee, dark chocolate malt, lavender, and hay aroma. Black with small head. Moderately sweet lavender, lemon, very light chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Very light body. Okay - subtle.

Draft: Black with a thin white ring. Berry, light smoke, caramel aroma. Tart caramel malt, wood, dark berry flavour. Nicely bodied.....rich... Very good.

Keg at Whole Foods Wauwatosa. Dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, soy, spice, buckwheat, bread. The taste is citrus, soy, lemon, caramel, toasted bread. Medium bodied, mild lingering tartness.
