A blend of German ale aged in Sherry barrels with L. Delbrueckii and L. Brevi with tart cherries and a Russian imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with Brett added. Flavors of chocolate covered black cherry bring notes of a mild candy-like tartness.

50cl bottle pours a fizzy, nearly opaque black with lots of frothy, khaki head. Very foamy. Nose has plenty of cherry, not just cherry juice and cherry meat, but that sour cherry character you get from Brett C, toast malt too, a little rubber, bread. Flavor is very tart, cherry, grapefruit, celery, vegetal, plenty of wet and stale barrel now, booze, there's a clear caramel and tobacco character. Finishes very full bodied, which takes away from the whole thing.

Bottle. Wood, cherry, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with small tan head. Mildly sweet cherry, chocolate malt, mildly sour vinegar, and moderately bitter dry hay and wood flavor. Good body. Pleasant.
