Barrel Aged Brown is the next beer in the our sour series. We took Big Daddy Brown Ale and aged it for one year in Satek Winery white oak barrels and inoculated with Brettanomyces, Saccharomyces, and bacterial strains of Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. Look for notes of musty oak aromas and flavors, as well as a nice tartness on the finish.

tap at the brewpub - Pours an auburn color with minimal head. Caramel malt and lightly sour aroma. It has a tart flavor with sweet caramel malt and some dark fruit character. The sourness is definitely there but on the mild side. Medium body. Overall it works well.
