Oh wow. They say the nose knows, but Freaky Peach pulls a fast one. Its aroma promises charred caramel and grilled stone fruit, but the flavor delivers waves of bright peaches, spun sugar and whiskey sour. It’s young. It’s tart. It’s super-freaky.

On tap at GABF. Pours orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is peach flesh, citrus, yeast, pure sugar. Light body, peach, citrus, wheat, pure sugar, light booze, very good.

Bottle at share, courtesy of Rick. Murky amber pour, tiny ring of head. Aroma and taste are stone fruit, peaches. Sweet, not as tart as aroma would lead you to believe.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a glossy burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a mild pace. Subtle lace.
The aroma had some sweet peach, funk, sweet grass, sour citrus, bitter citrus rind, and then some pine. Light stone fruit at the end. Whiskey is light.
The flavor leads with the sour initially and then blends the sour and tart portions nicely. Peach with some whiskey, pine and grassy - all blend into the aftertaste and flowing in a funky manner on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a bearable sessionability given that it’s a \"sour style.\" Good carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nicely done fruited sour ale worthy of having again.

Bottle. Weedy peach, biscuit malt, light bourbon, and straw aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet peach, biscuit malt, moderate sour vinegar, and moderate bitter weedy grass flavor. Okay body. A bit rough.
