Amber Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels. Typically it’s the last thing you’ll hear before you’re covered with dirt. All the nuts in the world can’t buy you an eternal life. So live in the moment!. For just that reason, our friends from Holy Mountain Brewing cam all the way from Seattle, Washington to brew and thus was born Ashes to Mashes, Nuts to Butts! It’s brewed with malt smoked form foraged black walnuts and aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels. So get it now or get it never.

Bottle: Nearly clear amber with a large, light beige head. Very light bourbon, wood smoke, caramel malt and honey flavour. Just a hint of bourbon.....more like the effect off a glass served neat..... Really enjoyed this one!....light, and well-balanced.

Proletariat, NYC bottle pours amber with beige head. Aroma is smoky, slight burnt sugar, no nuts as advertised. Taste is smoky and quite malty. Good smoked but lacking the intent.

Draft. Sour milk, honey, smoked malt, and hay aroma. Cloudy amber with small off white head. Moderately sweet honey, smoky caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay/quinine flavor. Honey in finish. Good body. Nice balance of sweet, smoke and bitter.
