A smooth as silk "white" oatmeal stout brewed with an aromatic blend of British malts, creamy oats, cocoa nibs, vanilla and coffee. It pours white as day with a frothy creamy head that will leave your senses confused. Don’t let your eyes deceive you and let the flavor speak for itself.

Can. What? This is a stout. Doesn't look like stout. But......it does smell and taste like one. It's actually really good.

Can pour from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. Appearance is hazy yellow with lots of fine, dark floaties that move in the glass like jello, thin off-white head fading quickly to a ring with no lacing. Aroma is vanilla, cocoa, oats, bit of roasted malt/coffee quality. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with mildest of bitter offsets. Overall, gets a good amount of flavor and aroma out of a 4.8% ABV but to be thin and white in this category really puts you at a disadvantage. I enjoyed it alright but if I was hankering for an oatmeal stout (or even a blonde stout, to be honest), I wouldn't reach for this one.

On tap pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is sweet chocolate malts rich coffee wow. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate coffee cream, I love white stouts.

Can from Brewster Discount Warehouse in Vineland. Pours hazy gold with strong carbonation and modest white head. Milk chocolate and vanilla aroma, mild hops and bittersweet chocolate taste. Slightly bitter malty finish. Not your everyday oatmeal stout, but pleasant.

Hazy orange-gold color. The aroma is of chocolate and coffee. It tastes sweet with ample chocolate. There's a very creamy, meidum body. It's sort of like a chocolate milkshake. Very good.

Call me a naysayer, but I've yet to try a white stout with the taste profile of an actual stout. Ivory White Stout is no different, basically an oatmeal golden ale with enough extras to mimic the chocolate-vanilla notes of a milk stout, but without the deep bitter roastiness of an actual dark beer. Coffee might attempt to add hints of char, but nothing hides the apple-like tartness of the beer's pale origins, leading to a sweet, clingy, gimmick-forward pint. It's not bad, but, shit, dude, let's be honest: it ain't a stout.
