Bottle 355ml (Ravintola Kirjakauppa). A bit murky brown color, small brownish head. Aroma of chocolate, bread, caramel and light veggie notes. Medium-bodied. Caramalt, bread, chocolate, maltyness. Sweetish and chocolaty so not so traditional doppelbock. Ok.

Bottle: Red-lit brown with a small, creamy beige head. Caramel, dark bread, vanilla aroma. Taste is sweet, chocolate/raisin malt, a mild, earthy bittering. Drinks pretty darn easy for the 8.5%......quite smooth.

Pours with a small thin tan head. Aroma is mainly molasses with some black patent and roasted barley. Taste is similar, but chocolate malt stands out in a weird unpleasant combo. Very slight carbonation which is not to its advantage. Kind of over heavy. Not to easy drinking. Not a fav.

Hazy deep red - amber brown beer with a decent pale tan head. Palate is airy and a little soft. Sweetish malt with a little toffee caramel. Mild aniseed. Nice chocolate streak with mild dried fruits. Touch of malt cream. Finishes semi dry. Well joined up and fruity bock.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Wine & Spirits in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on a night where I was supposed to have 2 fantasy football drafts and I ended up having 0. Appearance is a dark, murky, slightly sludgy brown with a very thin white rim. Aroma of rich, sweet caramel malt, a bit of plum/dark fruit, and smells a bit syrupy. Taste is pretty damn sweet and syrupy, the dark fruit notes come out a bit more, as well as a bit of toffee. Not bad stuff, I’m into it.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Toffee brown color. Thin, steady beige head. Smooth malty aroma, mild chocolate tones. Sweet, some thin sugary malt residues. Not really that great, lack a little depth and complexity. Some warm alcohol and toffee notes. Mediocre.
