When Keith travels to Belgium, he always looks forward to enjoying classic Belgian Table beers. Traditionally, these lower-alcohol beers are brewed to accompany a meal and great company. Blue Moon Brewing Company® created a twist on this style by making our Belgian Table Pils a more flavorful, yet balanced pilsner.

Bottle. Deep golden color with a nice head. Aroma and taste were nothing special. Don’t really taste anything Belgian about it. Taste like an average to maybe a little above average German-American Pilsner.

That is the worst... it's punky. Made better with the mountain brown.

12 ounce bottle, 7/8/16. Clear golden, thin fizzy off-white head, fair retention. Aroma of toasted malts, apples, honey, mild grass. The taste is honey, grain, grassy hops.

Pours gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with medium head recedes leaving soapy lacing. Coriander and sweet yeast aromas. Dry with stale, sour malt upfront turning to coriander and clove in the medium length finish.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 11/7/2016. Pours crystal clear deep gold/light amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker toasted biscuit, light honey/nuttiness, light pepper/orange peel, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of bready malt, moderate earthy hops, and light orange peel notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey/nuttiness, light pepper/orange peel, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker toasted biscuit, light honey/nuttiness, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of bready malt, moderate earthy hops, and light orange peel flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness. Very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a very good Czech pilsener style. All around good robustness and balance of bready malt, moderate earthy hops, and light orange peel flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very minimal presence of the advertised orange peel flavors; but I wouldn’t want any in this kind of beer anyways. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle from the summer variety pack. Expired five days ago. Aroma is honey, grain, bready. Pours crystal clear deep gold with a medium bone-white head that falls into a collar of foam after a minute. Taste is sweet and grainy. Slightly thin but creamy. Tastes a lot like regular Blue Moon and not really pilsner-like. Not too bad, though.

12 oz. bottle, drunk from the bottle. Nice aroma of orange peel, cloves, saaz hops, and light banana. Sweet and earthy, with a small bitterness. Light to medium body, crisp mouthfeel, and smooth finish. This is a pretty solid, relatively complex pilsener.

Tap market dist robinson. Let me tell you, form the start I found this to be a rather friendly enjoyable brew. Pale. Some co2 but could use more. Laid back civilized permanent hair treatment impressions. Was expecting some rude old country sharp pils effects but its more like the ubiquitous pale lager american version of pilsner with some of that craft beer attitude. No mentionable nose. Yes, pretty good fun stuff overall. Could have a few more.

Grassy hay nose. Crystal clear amber, medium head. Hay, slight fusel alcohol, some grain. Medium body, harsh. Better than so-called pilsner Miller Lite. Legitimate pilsner.

Aroma is very malty and color is a little dark for a pils. I’ve had a number of Belgian Pils in Belgium and I don’t recall any of them having orange peel in them. This is an ok brew; nothing special. Mostly marketing.
