(Tap) clear, bright, very dark brown color with a medium tall brown head; aroma of cocoa, saltiness, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish, creamy palate

Can - pours black with a tan lace - nose of licorice, coffee, chocolate, umami - slick, full mouthfeel - rich but not overly sweet - mild bitterness and acidity cut the malt richness, as does light smokiness and umami character - chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, black cherry - rich and full without being overly sweet or boozy - I’d rank this right up there close to Expedition Stout (though it’s not quite at that level) - and at the price point, it’s an exceptional value.

bottle - Pours black with a small dark tan head. The aroma is of dark roast malt, coffee, and cocoa. The flavor is roasty with coffee, dark chocolate, and good hops balance. Full bodied with a dry finish, it's very good.

Bottle: Black with a thick, short, light brown head. Chocolate, berry aroma. Taste is sweet and rich, dark chocolate malt, currants. A bit of raw vanilla and berry bittering. Really nice......hardly a hint of alcohol....big flavours.

Bottle. Pours dark opaque back, small brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is roasty, anise, molasses. Flavor is light sweet, medium btieer, roasty, coffee and a touch of tobacco. Fullish body, lingering bitterness. Pretty solid, actually.
