Bottle from wegman's chitaugua. First I went to twist off the cap but ripped my finger. So I got a bottle opener only to see it was actually a twist off; I'm getting old. Cloying old country aroma. Taste is quite strong and malty mossy, just like the old country. Pretty much on style for a good old scotch ale dude. Nice immo jenny.

12 oz bottle into a La Chouffe stemmed tulip glass on 12th Jan 2018 while on holiday in California. Red hue to the mahogany coloured body, off-white topping. Malts and more malts in this malty Scotch Ale, pretty sweet tasting with those malty molasses giving off some caramel and toffee flavours. My sweet tooth really liked it; did I mention how malty it was?

Bottle from Consumers Beverage. Medium amber body with small creamy head, considerable lacing. So far, so good. Aroma goes south fast, cough medicine, band aids, cheap butterscotch. Taste is a slight improvement, some of the peat and earthy flavors known for the style. But just passable., sweet and syrupy, cloying.

Bottle. Earthy/vegetal caramel malt aroma. Chestnut with small head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and mildly bitter earthy hay flavor. Medium body. Okay but pretty light.

Bottle: Clear copper with a large, yellow-tan head. Berry, toffee aroma. Very sweet, a lot of berry notes, sticky toffee. Malty... Doesn’t feel like 7.5%.... Too sugary, but not bad.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a nut brown color with a huge creamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish and malty with notes of caramel and toffee. The flavor was tangy and bitter with toffee, dark fruit and tobacco. Long finish with lingering tobacco. Medium body. Better than I expected.
