Helles literally translates to "Light One" or "Bright," and boy does Bertas fit that bill. Pure Pilsner malt lends a body reminiscent of the delicate sweetness of honeysuckle is coupled with a mild lemon zestiness from our Southern German Lager yeast and just a kiss of hop bitterness for balance. Simple as a busty Bavarian stereotype and just as delightful.

Caňa en el Milanito Valladolid 26.. 08..2017. (r07). Color amarillento turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores frescos maltosos, cereales, maiz con suaves herbáceos. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo espumoso y cierta densidad, fino. Buena, refrescante, para repetir.

Geringe Karbonisierung. Mild getreidiger Antrunk, minimal hopfig, laffe Würzigkeit. Meh. 7/7/6/7//7

Growler: Clear, yellow gold with a small white head. Lemon, grain aroma. Pils malt bittering, straw, lemon, grain flavour.... Nice taste, just a little lacking in the body.

Draft. Honey lemon and creamy barley malt aroma. Medium yellow with moderate white head. Sweet light lemon, milky biscuit malt, and straw flavor. Good body. A pretty good Helles - would have liked it to be maltier.
