A shandy is a beer mixed with a little something extra, and our new winter shandy is a beer made for the season. Leinenkugel’s Cocoa Berry Shandy starts with our traditional dark Weiss beer and is then mixed with natural chocolate raspberry flavor. The decadent cocoa taste perfectly balances the tart raspberry flavor for a clean, dry finish.

Can. Cloudy, dark gold, almost brown. Medium sized white head. Aroma was more fruity than anything but not very good. Taste was hay with berries with just a touch of chocolate in the finish.

12 oz can from the winter variety pack. Aroma is cocoa and berries, duh. Also, wheat. Sorry I can’t be more helpful when it comes to the aroma, but that’s all there is. Pours a hazy rust-orange hue with a large fluffy off-white head with good retention. Taste is sweet chocolate and berries. A bit thin. Definitely interesting, but kind of gross at the same time. I don’t know what to think of this thing.

Can. Slightly muddy color. Yes, initial choco with raspberries then its backed up with lemon shandy. Odd combination and therefore quite unique. Probably one of the better real chocolate tasting beers I’ve had. Somewhat fun and friendly but goes a little medicinal towards the end. Yes, the finish is fer sure a little choco tootsie roll in lemon with a hair of raspberry.

Can. Cocoa, raspberry, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy brown with giant head. Sweet cocoa, raspberry, and light wheat malt flavor. Not much body. Not too bad - much better than I expected.

Can: Cloudy, dirty brown with a tall beige head. Aroma of raspberry, grain, chocolate cereal.. Taste is raspberry cola, cocoa powder, a bit of ginger....caramel malt. Very sweet and candy-like....lactic/sticky... Very odd....not exactly pleasant.

Growler from the brewery. Clear amber, medium sized fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of toasted malts, apple, earth. The taste is toasted malt, caramel, stone fruits, spicy hops, mild raisin. Medium bodied, high carbonation, refreshing.
